Michael Todd Plehn is a retired United States Air Force lieutenant general who last served as the 17th president of the National Defense University from 2021 to 2024. He previously served as deputy commander of the United States Southern Command from 2018 to 2020. He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy.
